How we started
Jane began her career in nutrition in the year 2000, when she had started the polytechnic course at her school in Home Economics in Brazil. In that diploma course, a specific subject attracted Jane’s attention. This subject was nutrition. In the following semester, Jane was offered a place in another diploma course, from the same polytechnic school. This was, “Nutrition and Dietetics”. She was the only student (back in her school), to achieve two diplomas in the same year.
In 2003, Jane started a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, in a local University. When she has fell in love with a lovely gentleman, her dream to become Nutritionist was postponed until she moved to Australia in 2007. After this she had postponed her career until 2017. From that year on, she had restarted her studies, and got back on track to become a fully qualified Registered Clinical Nutritionist, to achieve her goal of starting a holistic nutritional clinic.
Jane has always had a passion to help individuals of all different backgrounds and ages. She now holds a degree in BHSc Nutritional Medicine, from Southern School of Natural Therapies. Jane is a registered clinical nutritionist practitioner, and a fellow ANTA "Australian Natural Therapies Association" member
From this year 2022, it is my pleasure to announce the birth of Be Yourself Nutrition Au.

Be Yourself Nutrition Au "Jane Althorp" does not refund any holistic treatment. In the case of a supplement, the client is responsible to contact the supplier of goods and discuss the return at the client's expense and follow the supplier's terms and conditions.
Personal information
What personal information do we collect and hold?
We will collect the following types of personal information:
Your name, address, and telephone number;
Your age or date of birth;
Your Medicare number, Health Care Card number, health fund details, or pension number;
Current drugs or treatments used by you;
Information relevant to your medical care, including but not limited to your previous and current medical, and family history and your lifestyle (where clinically relevant);
Your ethnic background;
Dietary history;
Your profession, occupation, or job title;
The name of any health service provider or medical specialist to whom you are referred, copies of any letters of referrals, and copies of any medical reports or exams.
We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. We may hold your information in either electronic or hard copy form. Personal information is destroyed or de-identified when no longer needed.
As our website is linked to the internet, and the internet is inherently insecure, we cannot provide any assurance regarding the security of transmission of information you communicate to us online. We also cannot guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the internet. Accordingly, any personal information or other information which you transmit to us online is transmitted at your own risk.
Nutrition services
As part of providing a nutrition service to you, Be Yourself Nutrition Au, will need to collect and record personal information from you that is relevant to your current situation. This information will remain strictly between you and the "your, us" practitioner, with the exception of communicating with other health professionals who you are already seeing to discuss your treatment. This is necessary to provide you with quality service and effective treatment.
Telehealth appointments ONLY – You agree to participate in the consultation online (generally via Zoom) or over the phone. These consultations will not be recorded using audio, however, the usual records taken during a face-to-face consultation using paper forms as mentioned above will occur.
Upon the client having made a payment for a consultation, the money is not refundable, but you can reschedule your appointment. It is the client's entire responsibility to pay upfront for any nutritional or flower essence services. It is the client's responsibility as well, the purchase any required supplements, upon the client, has received the prescription.
Be Yourself Nutrition, "Jane Althorp", and "us, we" are not responsible for any misuse of supplementation, or client noncompliance with treatment.
